Overview

Balanced Hackmons is an Other Metagame that pushes Pokémon close to its limits within the game's technical boundaries. Players can assign most moves and abilities to any Pokémon—including those already in Mega form.

Clauses and Rules

• 2 Ability Clause – No team may include more than two Pokémon with the same ability. This restriction also applies to ability variants such as Teravolt and Turboblaze.
• CFZ Clause – Signature Z-Moves can only be used by their intended Pokémon with the appropriate Z-Crystal equipped.
• Evasion Moves Clause – Double Team and Minimize are not permitted.
• OHKO Clause – Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, and Sheer Cold are banned.
• Sleep Clause Mod – Only one opposing Pokémon may be put to sleep at a time.
• Endless Battle Clause – Strategies designed to indefinitely stall a game and force a forfeit are prohibited.
• Forme Clause – Each distinct forme of a Pokémon may only appear once per team. For instance, Mewtwo-Mega-X and Mewtwo-Mega-Y together is legal, but two Mewtwo-Mega-X is not.

Additional Restrictions

• ComaTalk Ban – Pokémon cannot have both Comatose and Sleep Talk on the same set, as combining them with phazing moves like Whirlwind creates degenerate gameplay.

Special Mechanics

• No EV Limit – All Pokémon can run maximum EVs in every stat (252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe).
